Salloon Sign Tests

Couple of images of what I'm trying for the salloon sign. I'll need to remake it tomorrow cause the nurbs tubes are pants and the glow is too strong but should do nicely once its tweaked.

lighting renders




***EDIT by GW***Played around with lighting the scene with Amit Scott and Gary today. The whole town is taking around 30 mins a frame at the moment. Need to find a way to cut that right down.

Here's where we are at the moment.


Terrain Texture



Had some issues with our texture for the ground. Its so large we couldnt make one single texture to cover it all as the file would be massive.

This might be a good alternative. The other option is cutting the ground plain we modelled for each shot and having a big-ish texture on there.

If this looks alright in render tests we can use it.

Corpse Sculpting

Sculpting in mudbox on top of Gary's base models for corpses. This is the guy we'll be using in the alien vulture shot, hence hes only detailed on one side.

Hopefully get him painted by the end of the night.

Need to do a wee bit more texturing, add some blood and mess. And dress it up abit with broken glasses and bottles and stuff.

Teaser Final Animatic/Previs


Our last animatic before we start rendering scenes. We almost have everything we need built, textured and rigged. Still got a bit of animation to do and some various pieces of modelling and texturing. Going to be cutting it close.
